Weather conditions shortened the ND Clay Target State Tournament to three rounds on Saturday, but some impressive totals were posted across the board, including a perfect 75 for Seth Jaeger of Rugby High School. Highlights and results are below as we look ahead to a post-frontal Sunday with northwest winds and highs in the mid-70s which might make for a challenging father’s day trip. DAILY CONDITIONS:
WEATHER (Bismarck Forecast):
Pop the canopy and rain shield up and go fishing. Or watch college football re-runs.
Today: Breezy and clear. Hi 73, Lo 52 Winds NW at 16 mph.
Tomorrow: More of the same, sunny and low 70s. Hi 74, Lo 51 Winds NW @ 15 mph.
SOLUNAR (Bismarck Times):
Sunrise: 5:48AM Sunset: 9:40PM
Moonrise: 2:30AM Moonset: 3:04PM
Overhead: 8:42AM Underfoot: 9:07PM
Moon Phase: Waning Crescent (37% Full)
EDGE HOUR: 8:00 – 9:00 PM. Stiff winds dominate the day, and you’ll have to downsize or go with clear leaders as fish adjust to the post frontal conditions. Things should improve throughout the evening as breezes fade and an underfoot period leads into sunset. Combine these three things for the best shot at a good bite on a tougher condition day.
