LAST SECOND CHANCE.  For those residents unsuccessful in this season’s first firearms deer tag lottery, more than 6,000 licenses remain (including antlered deer) available.  Tomorrow (Wed 7/24) is the deadline to get in on what remains for gun season.

THAT’S GREAT.  Here’s a morning wake-up video from the east coast.  While bringing in a fish, a Franklin, MA angler has it taken from him, by the Jaws-like attack of a great white shark just off the stern, in a truly wild wildlife video going viral.

BEE BALM.  Our featured photo of the wild bergamot (a/k/a bee balm) sports a flower that did it all for native tribes.  From treating cold and flu symptoms to acne and flatulence, the leaves and flowering portions were used in teas and applied directly to the skin.
