Cool nights, warm days and great conditions for both hunting and fishing adventures are on tap for today, so sneak out there if you can.  If you can’t, we talk about what you can be doing on upcoming days like this in today’s Three Things.

THREE THINGS.

TAG LAG. For those willing to travel to south-central or southwestern ND, nearly 1,000 antlerless whitetail tags remain on a first-come, first-served basis.  Later this month, the NDG&F will open online sales of the remaining deer licenses at 8 a.m. on Sep. 27, so make sure to wake up early and have a good connection to the internet!

GO BIG AND GO HOME.  And go home satisfied!  Remember, especially on these perfect days, that fish are using the warmer, stable conditions to feed.  When things warm up and get stable during this time of year, big baits will turn their heads and open their mouths, so offer up something with a little girth, and you’ll get a fish to match, whether it’s muskies, walleyes or bass.

ONE LAST CAST.  Hey, you never know when it’s going to be your last of the night, or the season at this time of year.  So, stretch it out into evening as often as you can in fall!  We’ve always said – if you miss a strike, you get two more, if you catch a fish, you get five more.  Whatever excuse you need, load it up and fire it again.
Stay Sharp!
