RUN! It’s outside running season (finally – goodbye treadmill!) and as you know we like to sneak in a little outdoor exercise from time to time on the Edge. Whether it’s hiking, biking or running, spring is one of the best times to hit the pavement or the trail and take in the returning birds, greening grass and other great sights. We talk more about that in today’s Three Things.

DOUBLE UP! If you’re looking to get your hustle on there are TWO races in Bismarck this Saturday. The 7am “Lace Up for Literacy 5k” and the 9:45am “Race for Parkinson’s 5k/10k” Run them both and build that calorie deficit for the barbecue you should be having in the warm summerlike evening on Saturday!
TRAILS & TRIBULATIONS. There are more than 100 miles of trail winding through the Bismarck-Mandan area for running, biking and jogging. From historic downtown to scenic river routes, it’d take you a good clip to see it all in a week on foot, so get out there and log as many as you can!
WEAR SUNSCREEN. Don’t forget to slather on the sweatproof SPF 45 or more when hitting your favorite routes this weekend. While it may be April, the sun is as high in the sky as mid-August, and sunburn is a real possibility no matter if you’re running, fishing or just hanging out.
Zinc your sniffer and stay sharp!
