WEEKEND WATCH.  While Saturday looks great, Sunday sports a strong possibility of severe storms and heavy rains, so keep an eye in the overnight on Saturday – especially those out on the water for the Governor’s Cup in Garrison.

SALMON SPOTTER. The NDG&F has a preview of the upcoming salmon season, when Sakakawea’s big fish go on the bite prior to their spawning runs and egg collection in October.  Check out this week’s installment of the North Dakota Outdoors webcast for more information on this coldwater species and its special place in the deep water of Sakakawea.

FALL FORECAST. For those interested in shooting sports opportunities this fall, the ND Clay Target League has set their schedule for the six-week season. Open to teams that were set up for the spring season, the fall league is set for Sep. 16 through Oct 22.
