RISING. Temperatures are on the upswing starting today, and the early morning will provide a great pre-work (or late-to-work) opportunity for some hunting and fishing before winds pick up in the afternoon. We go around the horn with the daily news and notes to get you set for your Monday in today’s Three Things.

INCREASED PRESSURE? This week also boasts NDEA weekend, and schools will be out on Thursday and Friday. Keep this in mind as you head out for your hunts later in the week that there may be added pressure as many families use this weekend to get together in the field. Or…you could find a few neighborhood kids with nothing better to do and take THEM hunting or fishing – the forecast looks great for both!
FILLING UP. The October moon is growing. Mark your calendar for those days around the 24th – three on either side. With a little help from Mother Nature, these will be ideal times to be on stand or after a hot autumn walleye bite.
KEEP YOUR NOSE CLEAN. The NDG&F Dept. highlights some of the more common violations around licensing and use of equipment on public lands. Know the rules before you go and keep your license handy in the field.
