ONE DAY MELT. With highs near 40 in some parts of the state, Friday will provide the perfect opportunity to get out, inspect the ice house and see if everything survived the cold blast. Saturday’s temps in the mid-20s ahead of another front will also provide stable fishing.
ON TRACK. The ND House unanimously passed HB 1209, a resolution allowing dogs to be used in the recovery of big game. It’s a step in the right direction, as many other states allow their heightened senses to follow a blood or scent trail of downed deer and increase the odds of retrieval. On to the Senate!
HALF IN THE CAN. Hey! It’s the last day of January! You made it! Let’s hope for the best on the back stretch of winter. We’ll keep tabs on conditions and let you know where we stand tomorrow in our WSI update. Until then!
