SO LONG WINTER! Welcome to the last day of a season which has challenged outdoorsmen and wildlife alike, we’re glad you made it this far with us. Spring starts tomorrow, and nothing major is showing up on our mid-term forecasts and the melt looks to be slow and steady, at least for the next week. We talk about spring trends and other things that are looking up in the outdoors.

DAY RATING:
THREE THINGS.
SPRING’S UP. The light at the end of the tunnel turns out to be the spring sun (you thought it was just another whiteout)! Tomorrow we make the turn with the vernal equinox at 4:58pm and look to put winter in the rear view mirror.
FULL UP. The March full moon is the final “supermoon” of 2019, as the heavenly body begins to shift away from Earth. Known as the “super worm moon” this month’s full moon is typically the last of the ice fishing season, and usually signals a strong bite as winter wraps up.
LICENSES UP. Don’t forget to renew your hunting and fishing licenses through the NDG&F, as new licenses will be required on Apr. 1. Licenses can be purchased online through the NDG&F application page.
Stay Sharp.
