FULL MOON FRIDAY! It’s an angler’s dream today as the full moon aligns with the holiday weekend, warm temperatures and a little bit of chop to start off the walleye run on just about any water that’s open in ND. We talk about that, big game lotteries and some help in the backcountry in today’s Three Things.

ELK, MOOSE DRAW DONE. Hunters who put in for the annual “once-in-a-lifetime” tags for elk and moose can check their results online, as the drawing completed yesterday. Bighorn Sheep tags remain undrawn, as NDG&F agents assess the populations throughout the summer to determine tag numbers for the lottery at the end of that season.
BHA NEEDS HELP. ND Backcountry Hunters & Anglers are looking for a few good men and women to help with non-native species removal in southeastern ND’s Sheyenne National Grasslands. The project will span two weekends – May 11 & 18 – and will help remove buckthorn and other problem plants. Contact email@example.com for more information.
FULL FRIDAY! The full moon is setting up an awesome weekend of spring fishing as walleyes start their run and other opportunities come on line as ice goes out. Expect the last of it to go fast with temps in the 60s and 70s over the next week.
