THREE THINGS
LESS DENSE MULEYS. Mule deer density dropped last year with a more challenging winter, but at 8.2 animals per square mile, it remains well above the trough of 4.6 in the survey period of 2012. The NDG&F reports that populations will support a hunting season again for the much-sought-after big game animal.
BASS HOUNDS. North Dakota’s premier bass fishing league for 13 years is the Badlands Bass Bandits. With the season underway, check out all the action on their site with tourney updates and more.
FLAPPERS. Check out this fun video of tom turkeys duking it out to establish a pecking order for the spring mating season, including a full-on extended face lock at 1:30. Thank you, tip your waitress and enjoy!
