WET, BLANKETS. More precip is on the way and chilly temps today too as we muddle through another round of rain. We go around the horn in today’s Outdoors Roundup with requests for board members from BHA, free fishing in ND and a look at pheasant nesting conditions.

OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:
NOW BOARDING. The North Dakota Backcountry Hunters and Anglers are seeking interested members (or new members) to serve on their board of directors. To apply, anyone interested can submit their application to northdakota@backcountryhunters.org with the subject titled “First and Last Name – NDBHA Board Application.”
FREE FISHING! North Dakota’s free fishing weekend is June 1 & 2. Anglers 16 and up can fish without a license that weekend.
NEAR NESTING. The nesting phase for the region’s pheasants is about to begin, with the typical hatch date being June 20 or so in ND. Ideally, after this wet week, things will dry out to help facilitate time on the eggs for hens – but recent moisture should be ideal for spurring the growth of nesting and rearing cover in the coming weeks!
