ROUGH IT. The annual Roughrider Shoot will take place this weekend at Capital City Gun Club. For more on the trapshooting fun with a western theme, and ATA singles, doubles and handicap shoots, visit capitalcitygunclub.org.
CHAMBERED. This year’s Devils Lake Chamber of Commerce Fishing Tournament is also set for the weekend. This three-day walleye derby on Devils Lake is one of the biggest on the state’s largest natural lakes. Visit the event’s Facebook page for more info.
NAWCA TALK. More than $78 million in grants was approved by the Migratory Bird Conservation Commission for wetland conservation projects throughout the United States, according to the US Fish & Wildlife Service. This total includes $1 Million for a prairie pothole conservation project in North Dakota.
