OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:

A LOOK AHEAD.  It’ll be a warm week after tomorrow’s instability and rain.  Temperatures will soar to summerlike levels in the mid-80s and low-90s with relatively light winds and set the stage for a good second weekend of July.

BREAK ‘EM IN.  With just two months from this weekend (I know, who’s counting) until hunting seasons kick off, including the state’s sharp-tailed grouse season, it’s time to get you, your dog and your boots in shape.  Break in new leather by taking field walks with your favorite hunting companion so those boots are comfortable for opening day of the early upland season.

YOU’RE A STAR.  The mechanics of the star drag system on baitcasting reels are pretty simple, yet amazing.  SaltwaterFishing247.com has a breakdown as to how the most ubiquitous drag system works and keeps you fighting fish effectively.
