EDGE HOUR:   4:30-5:30PM.  Lessening winds, moon underfoot and mild temps will combine for a great Edge Hour.

SLING IT.  Use a spinning rod spooled with 14-20 pound test fireline or other superline to cast tubes and other smooth, hydrodynamic baits with a sidearm sling, so they skip along the surface and skitter under docks, boat lifts and pontoons.

POWER SET.  Feel for a take and a pull in the line or a hard thump and set the hook hard.  The initial hookset should also serve as a means to horse the fish away from dock posts, lift bars and other structure.

YO-YO.  If a bulldogging bass wraps the line around a dock post or other obstruction, give it some slack and then pull it back.  While it doesn’t work all the time, it’s the best method of getting fish loose from a dock.
