WET WEDS. We’ll have to deal with rain yet again with a chance for its late autumn friend – snow – tonight, as another system moves through. In the meantime we’ve got some fun reads and exciting wilderness-based movies from around the web to get you ready for a near perfect day on Thursday as part of our Outdoors Roundup.

OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:
EYES ON THE ROAD. The NDG&F Dept. reminds motorists to watch for deer, as activity spikes with dispersing fawns this time of year. Some tips to avoid the dreaded DVC (deer-vehicle collision) and minimize the danger are up at gf.nd.gov.
WEIRD SCIENCE. With the turning of the page to October, deer hunters can also start thinking about that three-letter word – RUT! Peterson’s Bowhunting has a great story on the science behind the process, and what it means for hunters.
JUMANJI! It’s fun to say, but it didn’t make the list (nor did its reboot), but Backpacker shares a collection of its favorite movies based in the wilderness. Check them out and check them off during the cold weather season – or put ‘em on the DVD in your fish house this winter!
