A MUST FOR GUSTS. It’ll be a bit breezy for the youth pheasant weekend, with stiff winds out of the Northwest on both Saturday and Sunday. Instruct young hunters to move quietly, and focus on windward cover like slough edges, shelterbelts and brush as you finish out each walk into the gales. Birds will likely hold tighter in these areas if you keep field chatter to a minimum.
PLOT YOUR PLAN. The NDG&F reminds hunters of special regulations pertaining to PLOTS lands, particularly in the first week of pheasant season. Additionally, any hunting structures such as blinds or stands, cannot be left on PLOTS land without permission of the landowner.
