FINELY TOOLED.  You’ll feel the warmth today if you’re out on a hunt, but it will be short lived, so enjoy it!  In addition to the forecast, we’ve got the insight into some small additions to your hunting pack that can make all the difference in the field, which we cover in today’s Outdoors Roundup.

‘BINE BALL.  Carabiner clips make great latches for water bottles, gear bags, and other vital items that can be hooked onto a belt loop or D-ring on a backpack.  Grab a multi-pack and use them to hang lamps, clothes, bows and other items.

BANDED.  A couple heavy-duty rubber bands can help seal pantlegs around boots, or sleeves around gloves to keep things warm and dry, but where they really shine is looping around bird legs for those awesome fenceline photos.  We’re sure you can find a dozen other uses in the field!

BIG TWEEZE.  For removing burs, cactus needles and other tiny obstructions from your dog’s paws or your own, don’t forget to pack a tweezers in your field kit.  Small and easily stowed in a pack, it makes short work of stickers and can prevent further injury.
