UNDERWAY.  The first full day of the deer season continues the mild conditions from Friday, giving you another great chance to get out there, especially with the building full moon.  We should see more movement ahead of the cold snap which starts Sunday.

HIT ME BABY.  Darkhouse spearfishing season begins with ice up, and as soon as that ice is safe to utilize.  Remember to mark holes with some sort of branch or other biodegradable, non-litter object to let others know where you’ve been.

WHAT’S HATCHING?  The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service shares insight into other creatures that are getting a boost from fish hatcheries around the nation.  From frogs and turtles to birds and mussels, these facilities are helping sustain and restore populations of various animals throughout the country.
