Daily Edge for Sun. 11/17 – Right Way

BATTLE OF MIDWAY.  Welcome to the halfway point of your firearms deer season!  Conditions will be ideal for a sit or a stroll today, or for something else outdoors if you’ve tagged out.  We check out the week ahead and a fight for Sunday hunting out east in our Outdoors Roundup.

STILL STABLE.  The first half of the week will continue to keep temperatures in the upper 30s and low 40s, and moderate winds will provide good hunting conditions. Expect a front on Wednesday night to shift things up for a day, but things should rebound nicely.

SOME SUNDAYS.  Imagine a place where you COULDN’T hunt on Sunday.  That place is Pennsylvania, though things are changing.  Strangely enough, it’s a special interest group in the Keystone State which has attempted to derail the efforts in past sessions and this one (sounds familiar).

SIGN STOPS.  Don’t forget to keep an eye out for rubs and scrapes detailing the travel paths of bucks this time of year staking out their territory.  Set up nearby and make it a point to target these stretches as the gun season wanes.
