OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:
WHAT’S UP? We’re warm into the weekend until things slide Sunday with a shot of snow, up to three inches. After that squall comes cold temperatures as lows dip below zero during the middle of next week. If your ice auger isn’t running yet – now’s the time to get it going because next weekend’s ice should be solid almost everywhere!
FROZEN 2. The NDG&F Dept. has its second installment of the statewide ice fishing previews with a number of fisheries biologists from around the state. Check it out in the agency’s North Dakota Outdoors feature webcast.
SIGN UP. Pheasants Forever has breaking news on the announcement by the USDA for the General CRP Sign Up, which will be one of the largest opportunities in recent memory. Landowners are encouraged to contact their USDA Service Center as soon as possible if they are interested in enrolling marginal lands, as the sign-up period lasts from Dec. 9 through Feb. 28.
