JANUARY JABS.   Oofda!  January’s hallmark cold is taking hold over the region as we look ahead to a bitter week and what appears to be a chilly back half of the month on the horizon.  Luckily we have hunting memories to review and lure-making projects to put up during this time as part of our Outdoors Roundup.

REMEMBER WHEN?  It seems like the hunting seasons ended forever (really, a week) ago – maybe it’s just the onset of January playing tricks on us.  Either way, the NDG&F looks back on the conditions and surprises of the 2019 waterfowl, upland and big game seasons in the state in this week’s North Dakota Outdoors feature webcast.

OUCH.  The long range look ahead is suggesting a struggle through the rest of the month in terms of temperature as daily highs will typically be below zero through Jan. 24.  Thankfully little snow will come with the bone-chilling cold (Total Precip column).
