OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:
BIG DIPPER. Seasonable temperatures take a dip as things get cold mid-week with lows around -25. Conditions rebound for the weekend though as temperatures quickly stabilize. No major snow events are on the horizon.
BAD DUDE. “Joe Exotic” an Oklahoma man sentenced to multiple decades in prison, was charged with murder for hire and violations of the Endangered Species and Lacey Acts for crimes against wildlife, including killing five tigers. The US FWS details the case and the conviction in its blog.
BASSIN’ DIFFERENTLY. The Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (BASS) announces a kayak-only tournament series for 2020. The Huk BASS Nation Kayak Series will host anglers fishing popular bass lakes solely from kayaks. At the maximum an angler is allowed an electric motor of no greater than 3hp or 155 pounds of force.
