DAY RATING:
OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:
STATS! As part of its Feb. 2020 issue of North Dakota Outdoors, the NDG&F Dept. shares statistics on the most recent set of lottery drawings. 2019 success rates for deer, turkey and pronghorn. What’s the most interesting? There was a non-resident mule deer hunter with 17 preference points, meaning he or she had been applying since 2002.
FULL SWING. Clay Target League sign up continues across the state and new teams are forming at a rapid pace in North Dakota. Visit ndclaytarget.com to learn more, start a team and get kids registered through mid-March.
SPRING TRAINING. With the weekend warming it is time to get out and practice casting, shooting and get set for spring. Shake the rust off the double-haul on your fly rod on a patch of open water, or even just the front yard, or run a few rounds through your trap gun at an open facility. We’re not far off!
