OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:
ICYMI. The North Dakota Deer License Lottery is open until June 3. This year more than 3,000 additional tags were made available to hunters in the state, bringing the total over 69,000. Complete an application at the NDG&F Department’s “Buy and Apply” link.
- The Minnesota DNR has tips for those who find injured or abandoned animals in the wild this spring, both specific to our neighboring state and in general. With fawn drop happening soon and a number of critters on the move, remember that not all abandoned animals need human intervention.
- The Tail Submission system for predator harvest in South Dakota has officially begun and payment for tails will be made by the state starting this month with a number of collection sites and times designated by the SD Game Fish & Parks. The agency has even launched an app to track those tails turned in for money.
