WHITE OUT.  Bad news for bats in North Dakota as the dreaded “white nose syndrome” has been detected in populations in the western part of the state.  The NDG&F details the confirmation of the deadly fungus Pseudogymnoascus destructans in six sampled bats which is affecting their populations around the world.

TWO KINDS OF PEOPLE.  A short blog post from outdoors writer T. Edward Nickens for Ducks Unlimited puts it simply and pointedly, there are two kinds of people in this world when it comes to waterfowl. A quick read but a fun one that translates across all species and hunters.

GREAT AMERICANS.  The Great American Outdoors Act will be before congress next week, following the Memorial Day holiday.  The National Wildlife Federation reports that the act will help permanently and fully fund the Land and Water Conservation Fund to increase Americans’ access to the outdoors.
