SUPERB SATURDAY. Great conditions will set up today and a light walleye chop will develop by afternoon under mostly sunny skies. We’ve got more on next weekend’s free fishing, a new head for Ducks Unlimited and a celebration at RMEF, all in today’s Outdoors Roundup.

OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:
FREE FISHING. ND residents are reminded of the state’s free fishing weekend June 6 and 7. Residents 16 and older can give angling a try without a license on those dates, making it the perfect time to take someone new into the outdoors.
HEAD DUCK. Ducks Unlimited reports Doug Schoenrock has been named president of the organization. Schoenrock has served DU in many roles including those focused on corporate relations and youth programs.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RMEF. The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation celebrates 36 years this month. In that time the organization has impacted nearly 8 million acres of elk and other wildlife habitat and opened many hunting opportunities up to sportsmen.
