OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:
BIG BUCKS, NO WHAMMIES. Dakota Edge Outdoors is teaming up with Transcript Publishing of New Rockford and Branded, Inc. of Carrington to bring you THE BIG BUCK BOOK! With over 30 stories and photos from hunters and their incredible deer from 2019, and 20 more season previews for what’s to come in 2020, it’s THE guide to ND Deer Hunting!
BEYOND BREEDING BASICS. The NDG&F Department highlights the work of field staff in conducting the breeding duck surveys in this week’s North Dakota Outdoors web segment. The agency is one of the few groups across the country to pull it off, providing important data and insight into waterfowl populations, with some adjustments to the traditional methods.
HABITAT MOSAIC. The Ruffed Grouse Society looks at the similar habitat needs of ruffed grouse, woodcock, snowshoe hares and cottontail rabbits, and where the species differ in their requirements for food, shelter and travel.
