DEO Release
Dakota Edge Outdoors is teaming up with experienced South Dakota fishing guide and tournament angler Jarrod Fredericks to share the incredible multi-species fishing available to anglers in northeastern South Dakota. An experienced outdoors communicator, Fredericks will share his take on walleye angling in the region, along with tips for other species on openwater and the ice, expending readers’ options and knowledge of opportunities throughout the upper Midwest.
“Jarrod’s understanding of those popular waters and sleeper lakes in northeastern South Dakota will prove a valuable resource and provide great recommendations in general to the DEO audience,” said Nick Simonson, Managing Member of Dakota Edge Outdoors, adding “his experience with walleyes, along with perch, crappies and other popular species in the region will keep readers at the forefront of fishing in all four seasons.”
Based out of Estelline, S.D., Fredericks puts thousands of hours on the water each year both personally and professionally in pursuit of perch and walleyes. An experienced tournament angler, he finished in the top three for Angler of the Year on the National Walleye Tour and participates in many regional angling series including the Lake Area Walleye League.
“I look forward to sharing my experiences in pursuit of walleyes and other species with audiences throughout both Dakotas,” Fredericks stated, adding, “it’s my mission to inform and advance those looking to get the most out of their time on the water, and let them know what’s happening on a weekly basis.”
Fredericks’ writings will be published each Wednesday on dakotaedge.com, and in the periodicals and online publications of DEO-network newspapers, radio stations and other media outlets.
