AWESOME ADDITIONS. As you get ready for spring (yes, we promise it’s coming) gear up your bass arsenal (and those presentations for other fish too) with a few little adds that help up the odds. We talk about that and more in today’s Three Things.

DAY RATING:
THREE THINGS.
BUBBLICIOUS. Add half an alka-seltzer to hollow bass baits like tubes to give off a bubbly trail. This has been known to attract fish, not only through the bubbling, but the slight crackling noise that the effervescent tablet gives off.
SCENT CUBE. Soak a small cube of sponge material in your favorite scent and slide it into a hollow bass bait to give off a consistent scent trail. Do the same for catfishing, by running the cube up the hook shank and onto the line just above the knot for an added streak of scent in the water.
SECONDS. Where the law allows, add a stinger hook on a spinnerbait by threading the second hook on the first hook and holding it place on the bend with a piece of rubber tubing. Whether dressed with a plastic trailer, or allowed to hang free, it should help turn short-strikers into hooked fish.
Stay Sharp.
