THREE THINGS:

PRIME TIME.  The influence of the October full moon will fire up this weekend and run through much of next week.  If you’re looking to get out after deer, the relatively calm winds and moderate temps will help with that.  For walleyes and other fast-biting fall fish from shore or boat, you’ll be equally blessed!

CLOSE IT OUT.  The ND High School Clay Target League enters its final week of fall competition tomorrow, and you can see where shooters from your favorite schools stack up going into the home stretch by visiting the standings page at ndclaytarget.com.  With new teams coming online for this spring, make sure to check back in January and encourage your town’s school to become part of the fastest growing and safest sport.

GET COOKING.  If you’re into trying out new recipes for pheasants that go beyond the crockpt, check out Broosters Dakota Cuisine Cookbook by Bruce & Kim Campbell.  With dozens of pheasant recipes from appetizers to main courses, along with sides and sauces, this nicely-colored tome will be one to keep above the stove!

Stay Sharp!
