WELCOME WARM-UP! Conditions improve dramatically today and tomorrow as moderate winds and warming temperatures bubble up into the region helping to clean things up after this weekend’s chilly weather. We’ve got the news on that, more from the BWCA and some sticky suggestions in our Outdoors Roundup.

OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:
BWCA IN DC. In addition to the state legislative work being done to protect the Boundary Waters in Minnesota, efforts are underway in Washington DC to protect the vast northern wilderness. A bill recently introduced by Betty McCollum would withdraw mining rights on 234,000 acres in northern Minnesota.
UP & AWAY! Temperatures rise this week, even touching above average as the thirties come back into view. Don’t look now but a good weekend appears to be on the horizon with light winds and melting temps.
UV SEAL. Looking for a quick way to lock down a jig, secure a replacement rod guide in a pinch or finish off a fly? Invest in a basic UV-sealant kit with light. The glue dries almost instantly under the light and leaves no tack, so that pattern can hit the box just seconds after you finish it!
