OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:

GET YOUR GEAR.  The NDG&F reminds hunters to remove blinds, stands, cameras and other personal items from the state’s Wildlife Management Areas before Jan. 31.  At that point in time they’ll be considered abandoned and seized by the agency.

GO TOGETHER.   The Minnesota DNR has a great layout of safety tips for snowmobilers.  Whether you’re just cruising the trails or headed to the ice shack, there’s some smart safety tips and general rules of respect that are easy to understand.

MT CWT SPREADS.  A second moose taken by a hunter near Libby, MT has tested positive for CWD in Montana according to the state’s Fish Wildlife & Parks.  A release from the agency suggests that the prion-caused disease in the core of the area is prevalent in 13 percent of the population.
