ROUND WE GO. As we close out the holiday weekend with some nice conditions, we take a tour of what’s happening around the region in the outdoors. From the closure of walleye fishing on Lake Mille Lacs in Minnesota, to some cavern learnings in Montana, we see what states are up to heading around summer’s turn in our Outdoors Roundup.

FLOW OF MONEY. SD Game Fish and Parks has announced a series of grants stemming from the Land and Water Conservation Fund to help improve access and recreation in the Rushmore State. LWCF has been in the news lately as congress moves to pass legislation to fully fund it through offshore oil taxes.
LEWIS & CLARK CAVERNS. The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is celebrating the reopening of Lewis & Clark Caverns to the public with a series of classes and courses for people to attend. The first two involve bear awareness and cave exploration.
