DAY RATING:
OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:
FINAL DAY. Today is the last day to apply for the second deer tag lottery in North Dakota. Resident hunters who did not get drawn in the first lottery can log on to gf.nd.gov and click on the buy-and-apply tab for a chance at one of more than 6,000 firearms deer tags remaining for this November’s gun season.
A PRIORITY. The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, along with dozens of other wildlife and conservation groups, sets out its support for conservation priorities for the next four years. Focused on funding for enhancement, private-public partnerships and access, the directives look to continue gains made for fish and wildlife, hunters and anglers.
HOT STUFF. Temperatures will stair-step their way from 85 today on up to 100 for a swath of North Dakota by Saturday as warm conditions settle in. Down the water and stay in the shade as things get hot.
