OUTDOORS ROUNDUP:
WALLEYE WATERS. The NDG&F Dept. reports an additional 30 lakes were stocked with walleyes over last year, making a new record number of fisheries on the landscape in the Roughrider State. With higher water levels from last year’s rains, the opportunities to fish are expanding throughout the rural areas of ND.
RECREATE RESPONSIBLY. The US Fish & Wildlife Service has tips for those looking to utilize wildlife refuges for summer staycations and close-to-home outings. Providing simple tips linked to notable animals and their behavior, the agency gives guidelines to those visiting federal lands under its #RecreateResposibly campaign.
STATE SHOOT. The North Dakota State Trap Shoot, an ATA-sponsored event, is filling fast. With most of Saturday’s primary events filled, a number of shoulder options – including Wednesday’s youth event – have spaces for those looking to test their skills against the best in ND.
